7 You heard the Good News through our much-loved brother Epaphras who is taking my place. He is a faithful servant of Christ. 8 He told us that the Holy Spirit had given you much love.
9 This is why I have never stopped praying for you since I heard about you. I ask God that you may know what He wants you to do. I ask God to fill you with the wisdom and understanding the Holy Spirit gives.

7 You learned it from Epaphras,(A) our dear fellow servant,[a] who is a faithful minister(B) of Christ on our[b] behalf, 8 and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.(C)
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you,(D) we have not stopped praying for you.(E) We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will(F) through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,[c](G)
