17 which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ’s. 18 Let no man rob you of your prize [a]by a voluntary humility and [b]worshipping of the angels, [c]dwelling in the things which he hath [d]seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19 and not holding fast the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and bands, increaseth with the increase of God.

17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come;(A) the reality, however, is found in Christ. 18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility(B) and the worship of angels disqualify you.(C) Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind. 19 They have lost connection with the head,(D) from whom the whole body,(E) supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.(F)
