12 Then he said to me, (A)“Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, (B)your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. 13 (C)But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, (D)Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.

Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble(B) yourself before your God, your words(C) were heard, and I have come in response to them.(D) 13 But the prince(E) of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael,(F) one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.
