Daniel 10:5-7
Expanded Bible
5 I ·looked up [L lifted up my eyes] and saw a man dressed in linen clothes with a belt of gold of Uphaz [C signifying high quality] wrapped around his waist. 6 His body was like ·shiny yellow quartz [beryl; or chrysolite]. His face was like lightning [C bright], and his eyes were like ·fire [L flaming torches]. His arms and legs were ·shiny [gleaming] like polished bronze, and his voice sounded like the roar of a crowd [Ezek. 1:7, 13, 23, 24, 27; 9:2; Rev. 1:15].
7 I, Daniel, was the only person who saw the vision. The men with me did not see it, because ·they were so frightened [L great trembling fell on them] that they ·ran away [fled] and hid.

5 I looked up(A) and there before me was a man dressed in linen,(B) with a belt of fine gold(C) from Uphaz around his waist. 6 His body was like topaz,(D) his face like lightning,(E) his eyes like flaming torches,(F) his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze,(G) and his voice(H) like the sound of a multitude.
7 I, Daniel, was the only one who saw the vision; those who were with me did not see it,(I) but such terror overwhelmed them that they fled and hid themselves.
