Daniel 10:7-9
New English Translation
7 Only I, Daniel, saw the vision; the men who were with me did not see it.[a] On the contrary, they were overcome with fright[b] and ran away to hide. 8 I alone was left to see this great vision. My strength drained from[c] me, and my vigor disappeared;[d] I was without energy.[e] 9 I listened to his voice,[f] and as I did so[g] I fell into a trance-like sleep with my face to the ground.

New International Version
7 I, Daniel, was the only one who saw the vision; those who were with me did not see it,(A) but such terror overwhelmed them that they fled and hid themselves. 8 So I was left alone,(B) gazing at this great vision; I had no strength left,(C) my face turned deathly pale(D) and I was helpless.(E) 9 Then I heard him speaking, and as I listened to him, I fell into a deep sleep, my face to the ground.(F)
