34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be helped with a little help; but many shall join themselves unto them with flatteries. 35 And some of [a]them that are wise shall fall, to refine them, and to purify, and to make them white, even to the time of the end; because it is yet for the time appointed.
36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods; and he shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished; for that which is determined shall be done.

34 When they fall, they will receive a little help, and many who are not sincere(A) will join them. 35 Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined,(B) purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.
The King Who Exalts Himself
36 “The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself(C) above every god and will say unheard-of things(D) against the God of gods.(E) He will be successful until the time of wrath(F) is completed, for what has been determined must take place.(G)
