Daniel 12:6-8

⁶The man who was dressed in linen was above the waters of the river. One of the angels spoke to him. He asked, “How long will it be before these amazing things come true?”

⁷The man raised both hands toward heaven. I heard him make a promise in the name of the God who lives forever. He answered me, “Three and a half years. Then the power of the holy people will finally be broken. And all these things will come true.”

⁸I heard what he said. But I didn’t understand it. So I asked, “My master, what will come of all this?”

Daniel 12:6-8

⁶One of them said to the man clothed in linen,^(A) who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?”^(B)

⁷The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand^(C) and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever,^(D) saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time.^[a]^(E) When the power of the holy people^(F) has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.^(G)”
