And when the scattering of the hand of the holy people is [ful]filled, all these things shall be (ful)filled. (And I heard the man, who was clothed in linen clothes, who stood on the bank of the river, when he had raised up his right hand and his left hand to heaven/unto the heavens, and had sworn by him who liveth forever, say, For unto a time, and times, and the half of time. And when the scattering of the power of the holy people is finished, or shall cease, then all these things shall be come to an end.)

And I heard, and understood not (And I heard, but I did not understand); and I said, My lord, what shall be after these things?

One of them said to the man clothed in linen,(A) who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?”(B)

The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand(C) and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever,(D) saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time.[a](E) When the power of the holy people(F) has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.(G)

I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?”
