7 (A) The angel then raised both hands toward heaven and said, “In the name of the God who lives forever, I solemnly promise that it will be a time, two times, and half a time.[a] Everything will be over, when the suffering of God's holy people comes to an end.”
8 I heard what the angel said, but I didn't understand. So I asked, “Sir, how will it all end?”
The angel in my vision then replied:
9 Daniel, go about your business, because the meaning of this message will remain secret until the end of time.

7 The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand(A) and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever,(B) saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time.[a](C) When the power of the holy people(D) has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.(E)”
8 I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?”
9 He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed(F) until the time of the end.(G)
