Daniel 2:12

¹²Because of this the king flew into a violent rage and commanded that all the wise men of Babylon be destroyed.

Daniel 2:12

New International Version

¹²This made the king so angry and furious^(A) that he ordered the execution^(B) of all the wise men of Babylon.

¹³The decree was issued, and the wise men were about to be executed, and they looked for Daniel and his companions, to execute them.

¹³So the decree was issued to put the wise men to death, and men were sent to look for Daniel and his friends to put them to death.^(A)

⁴the herald proclaimed aloud, “You are commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages,^(A)

⁴Then the herald loudly proclaimed, “Nations and peoples of every language,^(A) this is what you are commanded to do:
