Daniel 2:18-20
International Children’s Bible

18 Daniel asked his friends to pray to the God of heaven. Daniel asked them to pray that God would show them mercy and help them understand this secret. Then Daniel and his friends would not be put to death with the other wise men of Babylon.

19 During the night God explained the secret to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven. 20 Daniel said:

“Praise God forever and ever.
    He has wisdom and power.

Daniel 2:18-20
New International Version

18 He urged them to plead for mercy(A) from the God of heaven(B) concerning this mystery,(C) so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. 19 During the night the mystery(D) was revealed to Daniel in a vision.(E) Then Daniel praised the God of heaven(F) 20 and said:

“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever;(G)
    wisdom and power(H) are his.
