² Then King Nebuchadnezzar sent for the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces to assemble and come to the dedication of the statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.^(A)

²¹ So the men were bound, still wearing their tunics,^[a] their trousers,^[b] their hats, and their other garments, and they were thrown into the furnace of blazing fire.

³⁴ quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.^(A)
