10 The queen,[a] because of the words of the king and his lords, came into the banqueting hall, and the queen declared, (A)“O king, live for ever! Let not your thoughts alarm you (B)or your colour change. 11 There is a man in your kingdom (C)in whom is the spirit of the holy gods.[b] In the days of your father, (D)light and understanding and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him, and King Nebuchadnezzar, your father—your father the king—(E)made him chief of the magicians, (F)enchanters, Chaldeans, and astrologers, 12 (G)because an excellent spirit, knowledge, and (H)understanding (I)to interpret dreams, explain riddles, and (J)solve problems were found in this Daniel, (K)whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.”

Don’t look so pale! 11 There is a man in your kingdom who has the spirit of the holy gods(B) in him. In the time of your father he was found to have insight and intelligence and wisdom(C) like that of the gods.(D) Your father, King Nebuchadnezzar, appointed him chief of the magicians, enchanters, astrologers and diviners.(E) 12 He did this because Daniel, whom the king called Belteshazzar,(F) was found to have a keen mind and knowledge and understanding, and also the ability to interpret dreams, explain riddles(G) and solve difficult problems.(H) Call for Daniel, and he will tell you what the writing means.(I)
