⁶^(A)Then the king's color changed, ^(B)and his thoughts alarmed him; ^(C)his limbs gave way, and ^(D)his knees knocked together.

⁶His face turned pale^(A) and he was so frightened^(B) that his legs became weak^(C) and his knees were knocking.^(D)

¹⁰^(A)Desolate! Desolation and ruin!
^(B)Hearts melt and ^(C)knees tremble;
^(D)anguish is in all loins;
^(E)all faces grow pale!
