²² My God ^(A)sent His angel and ^(B)shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not harmed me, since ^[a]I was found innocent before Him; and also ^[b]toward you, O king, I have committed no crime.”

²⁶ And they were unable to ^(A)catch Him in a statement in the presence of the people; and they were amazed at His answer, and said nothing.

¹⁴ and he said to them, “You brought this man to me on the ground that ^(A)he is inciting the people to revolt; and behold, after examining Him before you, I ^(B)have found no basis at all in the case of this man for the charges which you are bringing against Him. ¹⁵ No, nor has ^(C)Herod, for he sent Him back to us; and behold, nothing deserving death has been done by Him.

¹⁵ so that you will ^[a]prove yourselves to be ^(A)blameless and innocent, ^(B)children of God above reproach in the midst of a ^(C)crooked and perverse generation, among whom you ^[b](D)appear as ^[c]lights in the world,

^12 (A)Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they ^(B)slander you as evildoers, they may ^[a]because of your good deeds, as they observe them, ^(C)glorify God ^(D)on the day of ^[b]visitation.
