Then I looked and saw another animal, which looked like a leopard. It had four wings of a bird on its back, and four heads. And it was given the power to rule. After this I looked in my dream in the night and saw a fourth animal. It filled me with a very great fear. It was very strong and it had large, iron teeth. It ate and crushed, and whatever was left, it crushed with its feet. It was different from all the animals that were before it, and it had ten horns. While I was thinking about the horns, I saw another horn, a little one, come up among them. And three of the first horns were pulled out by the roots in front of it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth which spoke in pride.

“After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard.(A) And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule.

“After that, in my vision(B) at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron(C) teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled(D) underfoot whatever was left.(E) It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.(F)

“While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little(G) one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being(H) and a mouth that spoke boastfully.(I)
