¹² There are certain Jews whom you have ^(A)appointed over the affairs of ^(B)the province of Babylon: ^(C)Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, ^(D)pay no attention to you; they do not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”

³⁰ Then the king promoted ^(A)Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in ^(B)the province of Babylon.

⁴⁸ Then the king gave Daniel high honours and many great ^(A)gifts, and made him ruler over the whole ^(B)province of Babylon and ^(C)chief prefect over all the wise men of Babylon. ⁴⁹ Daniel made a request of the king, and he ^(D)appointed ^(E)Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego over the affairs of ^(F)the province of Babylon. But Daniel ^(G)remained at the king's court.
