Chapter 28

Blessings for Those Who Obey. 1 If you heed the voice of the Lord, your God, and you carefully observe all of the commandments that I have given you today, then the Lord, your God, will lift you up above all the other nations upon the earth. 2 All of these blessings shall come upon you and accompany you if you obey the voice of the Lord, your God. 3 You shall be blessed in the city, and you shall be blessed in the countryside. 4 Your offspring shall be blessed, along with your crops, and the young of your livestock, the calves of your herds, and the lambs of your flocks.

Blessings for Obedience

28 If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow(A) all his commands(B) I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.(C) 2 All these blessings will come on you(D) and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:

3 You will be blessed(E) in the city and blessed in the country.(F)

4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.(G)
