21 Behold, Jehovah thy God hath set the land before thee: go up, take possession, as Jehovah, the God of thy fathers, hath spoken unto thee; fear not, neither be dismayed. 22 And ye came near unto me every one of you, and said, Let us send men before us, that they may search the land for us, and bring us word again of the way by which we must go up, and the cities unto which we shall come. 23 And the thing pleased me well; and I took twelve men of you, one man for every tribe:

21 See, the Lord your God has given you the land. Go up and take possession(A) of it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, told you. Do not be afraid;(B) do not be discouraged.”(C)
22 Then all of you came to me and said, “Let us send men ahead to spy(D) out the land(E) for us and bring back a report about the route we are to take and the towns we will come to.”
23 The idea seemed good to me; so I selected(F) twelve of you, one man from each tribe.
