Deuteronomy 1:35-37
Common English Bible
35 Not even one of these people—this wicked generation!—will see the wonderful land that I promised to give to your ancestors. 36 The only exception is Caleb, Jephunneh’s son. He will see it. I will give the land he walked on to him and his children for this reason: he was completely devoted to the Lord.
(37 The Lord was even angry with me because of what you did. “You won’t enter the land either,” God said.

35 “No one from this evil generation shall see the good land(A) I swore to give your ancestors, 36 except Caleb(B) son of Jephunneh. He will see it, and I will give him and his descendants the land he set his feet on, because he followed the Lord wholeheartedly.(C)”
37 Because of you the Lord became angry(D) with me also and said, “You shall not enter(E) it, either.
