New International Version

¹⁸He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow,^(A) and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.^(B)

¹⁷“You shall not deprive a resident alien or an orphan of justice; you shall not take a widow’s garment in pledge.^(A)

¹⁷Do not deprive the foreigner or the fatherless^(A) of justice,^(B) or take the cloak of the widow as a pledge.
