¹⁸ “^(A)You shall therefore ^[a]impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as ^[b]frontals ^[c]on your forehead. ^19 (B)You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up. ^20 (C)You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, ²¹ so that ^(D)your days and the days of your sons may be multiplied on the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, as ^[d](E)long as the heavens remain above the earth.

²⁵ They will live on the land that I gave to Jacob My servant, in which your fathers lived; and they will live on it, they, and their sons and their sons’ sons, forever; and ^(A)David My servant will be their prince forever.
