30 (These are beyond the Jordan, on the other side of the western road in the land of the Canaanites who live in the Arabah, opposite Gilgal beside the oak of Moreh.)(A) 31 Now you are about to cross the Jordan to enter and possess the land which the Lord, your God, is giving you. When, therefore, you take possession of it and settle there, 32 be careful to observe all the statutes and ordinances that I set before you today.

30 As you know, these mountains are across the Jordan, westward, toward the setting sun, near the great trees of Moreh,(A) in the territory of those Canaanites living in the Arabah in the vicinity of Gilgal.(B) 31 You are about to cross the Jordan to enter and take possession(C) of the land the Lord your God is giving(D) you. When you have taken it over and are living there, 32 be sure that you obey all the decrees and laws I am setting before you today.
