Reject Idolatry

13 “^[a](A)If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, ² and the sign or the wonder comes true, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘^(B)Let’s follow other gods (whom you have not known) and let’s serve them,’

¹⁴ Then the Lord said to me, “The ^(A)prophets are prophesying falsehood in My name. ^(B)I have neither sent them nor commanded them, nor spoken to them; they are prophesying to you a ^(C)false vision, divination, futility, and the deception of their own ^[a]minds.

³ And if anyone still ^(A)prophesies, then his father and mother who gave birth to him will say to him, ‘You shall ^(B)not live, because you have spoken ^(C)falsely in the name of the Lord’; and his ^(D)father and mother who gave birth to him shall pierce him through when he prophesies.
