⁵ But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be ^(A)put to death, because he has ^[a]counseled ^[b]rebellion against the Lord your God who brought you from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of ^[c]slavery, ^(B)to seduce you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. ^(C)So you shall purge the evil from among you.

³² therefore thus says the Lord, “Behold, I am about to ^(A)punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his ^[a]descendants; he will ^(B)not have anyone living among this people, ^(C)and he will not see the good that I am about to do to My people,” declares the Lord, “because he has ^[b](D)preached rebellion against the Lord.”’”
