24 But if the journey is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, or (A)if the place where the Lord your God chooses to put His name is too far from you, when the Lord your God has blessed you, 25 then you shall exchange it for money, take the money in your hand, and go to the place which the Lord your God chooses. 26 And you shall spend that money for whatever your heart desires: for oxen or sheep, for wine or similar drink, for whatever your heart desires; you shall eat there before the Lord your God, and you shall (B)rejoice, you and your household. 27 You shall not [a]forsake the (C)Levite who is within your gates, for he has no part nor inheritance with you.
28 (D)“At the end of every third year you shall bring out the (E)tithe of your produce of that year and store it up within your gates. 29 And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates, may come and eat and be satisfied, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

24 But if the [a]distance is so great for you that you are not able to [b]bring the tithe, since the place where the Lord your God chooses (A)to set His name is too far away from you when the Lord your God blesses you, 25 then you shall [c]exchange it for money, and bind the money in your hand and go to the place which the Lord your God chooses. 26 And you may spend the money on whatever your [d]heart desires: on oxen, sheep, wine, other strong drink, or whatever your [e]heart [f]desires; and (B)there you shall eat in the presence of the Lord your God and rejoice, you and your household. 27 Also you shall not neglect (C)the Levite who is in your [g]town, (D)for he has no portion or inheritance among you.
28 “(E)At the end of every third year you shall bring out all the tithe of your produce in that year, and you shall deposit it in your [h]town. 29 And the Levite, (F)because he has no portion or inheritance among you, and (G)the stranger, the [i]orphan, and the widow who are in your [j]town, shall come and (H)eat and be satisfied, in order that (I)the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

24 If the place where the Lord your God chooses to set His Name (Presence) is a great distance from you and you are not able to carry your tithe, because the Lord your God has blessed you [with such an abundance], 25 then you shall exchange your tithe for money, and take the money in your hand and go to the place [of worship] which the Lord your God chooses. 26 You may spend the money for [a]anything your heart desires: for oxen, or sheep, or wine, or [other] strong drink, or [b]anything else you want. You shall eat there in the presence of the Lord your God and rejoice, you and your household. 27 Also you shall not neglect the Levite who is within your [city] gates, for he does not have a share [of land] or an inheritance among you.
28 “At the end of every third year you shall bring out all the tithe of your produce for that year, and shall store it up within your [city] gates. 29 The Levite, because he has no share [of land] or an inheritance among you, and the stranger, and the orphan and the widow who are within your [city] gates, shall come and eat and be satisfied, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

24 But if that place is too distant and you have been blessed by the Lord your God and cannot carry your tithe (because the place where the Lord will choose to put his Name is so far away), 25 then exchange(A) your tithe for silver, and take the silver with you and go to the place the Lord your God will choose. 26 Use the silver to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink,(B) or anything you wish. Then you and your household shall eat there in the presence of the Lord your God and rejoice.(C) 27 And do not neglect the Levites(D) living in your towns, for they have no allotment or inheritance of their own.(E)
28 At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes(F) of that year’s produce and store it in your towns,(G) 29 so that the Levites (who have no allotment(H) or inheritance(I) of their own) and the foreigners,(J) the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied,(K) and so that the Lord your God may bless(L) you in all the work of your hands.
