Deuteronomy 17:13-15

13 And all the people, on hearing of it, shall fear, and will never again act presumptuously.(A)
The King. 14 (B)When you have come into the land which the Lord, your God, is giving you, and have taken possession of it and settled in it, should you then decide, “I will set a king over me, like all the surrounding nations,”(C) 15 you may indeed set over you a king whom the Lord, your God, will choose.(D) Someone from among your own kindred you may set over you as king; you may not set over you a foreigner, who is no kin of yours.

New International Version
13 All the people will hear and be afraid, and will not be contemptuous again.(A)
The King
14 When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you and have taken possession(B) of it and settled in it,(C) and you say, “Let us set a king over us like all the nations around us,”(D) 15 be sure to appoint(E) over you a king the Lord your God chooses. He must be from among your fellow Israelites.(F) Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not an Israelite.
