Deuteronomy 17:13-15
World English Bible
13 All the people shall hear and fear, and do no more presumptuously.
14 When you have come to the land which Yahweh your God gives you, and possess it and dwell in it, and say, “I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are around me,” 15 you shall surely set him whom Yahweh your God chooses as king over yourselves. You shall set as king over you one from among your brothers. You may not put a foreigner over you, who is not your brother.

New International Version
13 All the people will hear and be afraid, and will not be contemptuous again.(A)
The King
14 When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you and have taken possession(B) of it and settled in it,(C) and you say, “Let us set a king over us like all the nations around us,”(D) 15 be sure to appoint(E) over you a king the Lord your God chooses. He must be from among your fellow Israelites.(F) Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not an Israelite.
