Deuteronomy 17:6-8

6 There must be two or three witnesses that it is true before the person is put to death; if there is only one witness, the person should not be put to death [Num. 35:30]. 7 The hands of the witnesses must be the first to ·throw stones at [stone] the person, and then everyone else will follow. You must get rid of the evil among you.
Courts of Law
8 Some cases that come before you, ·such as murder [between one kind of bloodshed and another; C intentional or unintentional], ·quarreling [between one kind of right and another], or ·attack [L between one kind of assault and another; Ex. 21:18–21], may be too difficult to judge. Take these cases to the place the Lord your God will choose [12:4–7].

New International Version
6 On the testimony of two or three witnesses a person is to be put to death, but no one is to be put to death on the testimony of only one witness.(A) 7 The hands of the witnesses must be the first in putting that person to death,(B) and then the hands of all the people.(C) You must purge the evil(D) from among you.
Law Courts
8 If cases come before your courts that are too difficult for you to judge(E)—whether bloodshed, lawsuits or assaults(F)—take them to the place the Lord your God will choose.(G)
