Moses’s Death

34 Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah,^(A) which faces Jericho, and the Lord showed him all the land: Gilead as far as Dan,

²⁴ They told Joshua, “The Lord has handed over the entire land to us. Everyone who lives in the land is also panicking because of us.”^[a]

²⁴ The Gibeonites answered him, “It was clearly communicated to your servants that the Lord your God had commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land before you. We greatly feared for our lives because of you, and that is why we did this.^(A)
