13 ‘Now arise and cross over the [a]Wadi Zered yourselves.’ So we crossed over the [b]Wadi Zered. 14 Now the [c]time that it took for us to come from Kadesh-barnea until we crossed over the [d]Wadi Zered was (A)thirty-eight years, until (B)all the generation of the men of war perished from within the camp, just as (C)the Lord had sworn to them. 15 (D)Indeed, the hand of the Lord was against them, to destroy them from within the camp until they all perished.

13 And the Lord said, “Now get up and cross the Zered Valley.(A)” So we crossed the valley.

14 Thirty-eight years(B) passed from the time we left Kadesh Barnea(C) until we crossed the Zered Valley. By then, that entire generation(D) of fighting men had perished from the camp, as the Lord had sworn to them.(E) 15 The Lord’s hand was against them until he had completely eliminated(F) them from the camp.
