Deuteronomy 2:22-24

22 just as He did for the sons of Esau, who (A)live in Seir, when He destroyed (B)the Horites from before them; they dispossessed them and settled in their place even to this day. 23 And the (C)Avvim, who lived in villages as far as Gaza, the [a](D)Caphtorim who came from [b](E)Caphtor, destroyed them and lived in their place.) 24 ‘Arise, set out, and pass through the [c](F)valley of Arnon. Look! I have given Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land into your hand; begin to take possession and contend with him in battle.

22 The Lord had done the same for the descendants of Esau, who lived in Seir,(A) when he destroyed the Horites from before them. They drove them out and have lived in their place to this day. 23 And as for the Avvites(B) who lived in villages as far as Gaza,(C) the Caphtorites(D) coming out from Caphtor[a](E) destroyed them and settled in their place.)

24 “Set out now and cross the Arnon Gorge.(F) See, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite,(G) king of Heshbon, and his country. Begin to take possession of it and engage(H) him in battle.
