35 except for the cattle that we took as pillage along with the spoils from the cities that we captured. 36 There was not a city that was too strong for us, from Aroer on the shore of the Arnon River and the city that is in the valley, all the way up to Gilead. The Lord, our God, delivered everything into our hands. 37 But as the Lord, our God, had commanded, you did not enter the land of the Ammonites, nor the land along the River Jabbok, nor the cities in the hill country.

35 But the livestock(A) and the plunder(B) from the towns we had captured we carried off for ourselves. 36 From Aroer(C) on the rim of the Arnon Gorge, and from the town in the gorge, even as far as Gilead,(D) not one town was too strong for us. The Lord our God gave(E) us all of them. 37 But in accordance with the command of the Lord our God,(F) you did not encroach on any of the land of the Ammonites,(G) neither the land along the course of the Jabbok(H) nor that around the towns in the hills.
