5 Don’t fight them, because I won’t give you any part of their land, not even the size of a footprint.[a] I have given Mount Seir to Esau as their property. 6 You may buy food to eat and water to drink from them, paying[b] with cash.”’ 7 Indeed, the Lord your God blessed all the works of your hands. He knows about your travels through this vast desert. The Lord your God was with you these past 40 years, so that you didn’t lack anything.

5 Do not provoke them to war, for I will not give you any of their land, not even enough to put your foot on. I have given Esau the hill country of Seir as his own.(A) 6 You are to pay them in silver for the food you eat and the water you drink.’”
7 The Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched(B) over your journey through this vast wilderness.(C) These forty years(D) the Lord your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything.(E)
