6 Has anyone just planted a vineyard but not yet eaten any of its fruit? If so, go home! You might die in battle and someone else would eat it! 7 Has anyone just become engaged? Well, go home and get married! For you might die in the battle, and someone else would marry your fiancée. 8 And now, is anyone afraid? If you are, go home before you frighten the rest of us!’

New International Version
6 Has anyone planted(A) a vineyard and not begun to enjoy it?(B) Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else enjoy it. 7 Has anyone become pledged to a woman and not married her? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else marry her.(C)” 8 Then the officers shall add, “Is anyone afraid or fainthearted? Let him go home so that his fellow soldiers will not become disheartened too.”(D)
