¹³ She shall also ^[a]remove the clothes of her captivity and shall remain in your house, and ^(A)weep for her father and mother a full month; and after that you may have relations with her and become her husband and she shall be your wife.

¹⁶ But Ruth said, “Do not plead with me to leave you or to turn back from following you; for where you go, I will go, and where you sleep, I will sleep. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. ¹⁷ Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried.
