5 Nevertheless, the Lord your God was not willing to listen to Balaam, but the Lord your God (A)turned the curse into a blessing for you because the Lord your God (B)loves you. 6 (C)You shall never seek their peace or their prosperity all your days.
7 “You shall not detest an Edomite, for (D)he is your brother; you shall not detest an Egyptian, (E)because you were an alien in his land.

5 However, the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam but turned the curse(A) into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loves(B) you. 6 Do not seek a treaty(C) of friendship with them as long as you live.(D)
7 Do not despise an Edomite,(E) for the Edomites are related to you.(F) Do not despise an Egyptian, because you resided as foreigners in their country.(G)
