18 Remember that you were slaves in Egypt, and the Lord your God saved you from there. That is why I am commanding you to do this.

19 When you are gathering your harvest in the field and leave behind a bundle of grain, don’t go back and get it. Leave it there for foreigners, orphans, and widows so that the Lord your God can bless everything you do. 20 When you beat your olive trees to knock the olives off, don’t beat the trees a second time. Leave what is left for foreigners, orphans, and widows.

19 When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it.(B) Leave it for the foreigner,(C) the fatherless and the widow,(D) so that the Lord your God may bless(E) you in all the work of your hands. 20 When you beat the olives from your trees, do not go over the branches a second time.(F) Leave what remains for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow.
