And then on the day that you cross the Jordan to the land that Yahweh your God is giving to you, then you shall set up for yourselves[a] large stones, and you shall paint[b] them with lime, and you shall write on them all the words of this law at your crossing, so that you may come into the land that Yahweh your God is giving to you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Yahweh, the God of your ancestors,[c] promised[d] to you. And when you cross the Jordan,[e] you shall set up these stones that I am commanding you about today[f] on Mount Ebal, and you shall paint[g] them with lime.

When you have crossed the Jordan(A) into the land the Lord your God is giving you, set up some large stones(B) and coat them with plaster.(C) Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey,(D) just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you. And when you have crossed the Jordan, set up these stones on Mount Ebal,(E) as I command you today, and coat them with plaster.
