19 and so it may not happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he blesses himself in his heart, saying, ‘I shall have peace, even though I [a]follow the (A)dictates of my heart’—(B)as though the drunkard could be included with the sober.
20 (C)“The Lord would not spare him; for then (D)the anger of the Lord and (E)His jealousy would burn against that man, and every curse that is written in this book would settle on him, and the Lord (F)would blot out his name from under heaven. 21 And the Lord (G)would separate him from all the tribes of Israel for adversity, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this Book of the (H)Law,

19 When such a person hears the words of this oath and they invoke a blessing(A) on themselves, thinking, “I will be safe, even though I persist in going my own way,”(B) they will bring disaster on the watered land as well as the dry. 20 The Lord will never be willing to forgive(C) them; his wrath and zeal(D) will burn(E) against them. All the curses written in this book will fall on them, and the Lord will blot(F) out their names from under heaven. 21 The Lord will single them out from all the tribes of Israel for disaster,(G) according to all the curses of the covenant written in this Book of the Law.(H)
