²³ ‘All its land is ^(A)brimstone and salt, ^(B)burned debris, ^[a]unsown and unproductive, and no grass grows on it, like the overthrow of ^(C)Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in His anger and in His wrath.’

⁴⁹ Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had ^(A)arrogance, ^(B)plenty of food, and ^(C)carefree ease, but she did not ^[a]help the ^(D)poor and needy. ⁵⁰ So they were haughty and committed ^(E)abominations before Me. Therefore I ^(F)removed them ^[b]when I saw it.

²⁹ but on the day that Lot left Sodom, it rained fire and ^[a]brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.
