Deuteronomy 29:4-6

4 Yet (A)the Lord has not given you a heart to [a]perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this very day. 5 (B)And I have led you forty years in the wilderness. (C)Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet. 6 (D)You have not eaten bread, nor have you drunk wine or similar drink, that you may know that I am the Lord your God.

4 But to this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear.(A) 5 Yet the Lord says, “During the forty years that I led(B) you through the wilderness, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet.(C) 6 You ate no bread and drank no wine or other fermented drink.(D) I did this so that you might know that I am the Lord your God.”(E)
