Deuteronomy 3:13-14

13 The rest of Gilead and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh, all the region of Argob (concerning all Bashan, it is called the land of Rephaim. 14 (A)Jair the son of Manasseh took all the region of Argob as far as the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called [a]it, that is, Bashan, after his own name, [b]Havvoth-jair, as it is to this day.)

New International Version
13 The rest of Gilead and also all of Bashan, the kingdom of Og, I gave to the half-tribe of Manasseh.(A) (The whole region of Argob in Bashan used to be known as a land of the Rephaites.(B) 14 Jair,(C) a descendant of Manasseh, took the whole region of Argob as far as the border of the Geshurites and the Maakathites;(D) it was named(E) after him, so that to this day Bashan is called Havvoth Jair.[a])
