15 (A)To Machir I gave Gilead. 16 To the Reubenites and the Gadites I gave from Gilead even as far as the [a]Valley of Arnon, the middle of the [b]valley [c]as a border, and as far as the [d]river (B)Jabbok, the border of the sons of Ammon; 17 the Arabah also, with the Jordan [e]as a border, from [f](C)Chinnereth (D)even as far as the sea of the Arabah, (E)the Salt Sea, [g]at the foot of the slopes of Pisgah on the east.

15 And I gave Gilead to Makir.(A) 16 But to the Reubenites and the Gadites I gave the territory extending from Gilead down to the Arnon Gorge (the middle of the gorge being the border) and out to the Jabbok River,(B) which is the border of the Ammonites. 17 Its western border was the Jordan in the Arabah,(C) from Kinnereth(D) to the Sea of the Arabah(E) (that is, the Dead Sea(F)), below the slopes of Pisgah.
