¹⁷ But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, ¹⁸ I declare to you today that ^(A)you shall surely perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter ^[a]and possess it.

¹⁹ “^(A)But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them, ^20 (B)then I will uproot you from My land which I have given ^[a]you, and this house which I have consecrated for My name I will cast out of My sight and I will make it ^(C)a proverb and a byword among all peoples.
