Deuteronomy 32:40-42
The Voice
40 I’m lifting up My hand toward the sky to take an oath,
and I swear, “As I live forever,
41 When I sharpen My flashing sword
and use it to bring about justice,
I’ll give My enemies what they deserve
and pay back those who hate Me!
42 I’ll get My arrows drunk with blood,
the blood of the dead and the prisoners,
And My sword will feast on flesh,
on the heads with their uncut hair of the enemy leaders!”
Deuteronomy 32:40-42
New International Version
40 I lift my hand(A) to heaven and solemnly swear:
As surely as I live forever,(B)

and my hand grasps it in judgment,
I will take vengeance(D) on my adversaries
and repay those who hate me.(E)
42 I will make my arrows drunk with blood,(F)
while my sword devours flesh:(G)
the blood of the slain and the captives,
the heads of the enemy leaders.”
