42 I will make my arrows drunk with blood,
    and (A)my sword shall devour flesh—
with the blood of the slain and the captives,
    from the (B)long-haired heads of the enemy.’

43 (C)“Rejoice with him, O heavens;[a]
    bow down to him, all gods,[b]
for he (D)avenges the blood of his children[c]
    and takes vengeance on his adversaries.
He repays those who hate him[d]
    and cleanses[e] his people's land.”[f]

44 Moses came and recited all the words of this song in the hearing of the people, he and (E)Joshua[g] the son of Nun.
