⁹But the Lord’s portion is His people,
Jacob, His own inheritance.

Deuteronomy 32:9

New International Version

⁹For the Lord’s portion^(A) is his people,
Jacob his allotted inheritance.^(B)

⁹For the Lord's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

⁷¹He brought him from tending ewes
to be shepherd over His people Jacob—
over Israel, His inheritance.^(A)

⁷¹from tending the sheep^(A) he brought him
to be the shepherd^(B) of his people Jacob,
of Israel his inheritance.

⁷¹From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.
