¹⁴ Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son and shall name him Immanuel.^[a](A)

¹⁶ In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will live in safety. And this is the name by which it will be called: “The Lord is our righteousness.”^(A)

¹¹ And it shall be inhabited, for never again shall it be doomed to destruction; Jerusalem shall abide in security.^(A)

²¹ She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”^{(A) 22} All this took place to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet:

which means, “God is with us.”^(B)

²² the righteousness of God through the faith of Jesus Christ^[a] for all who believe.^[b] For there is no distinction,^(A)

³⁰ In contrast, God is why you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,^(A)
