Moshe was 120 years old when he died, with eyes undimmed and vigor undiminished. The people of Isra’el mourned Moshe on the plains of Mo’av for thirty days; after this, the days of crying and mourning for Moshe ended.

Y’hoshua the son of Nun was full of the Spirit of wisdom, for Moshe had laid his hands on him, and the people of Isra’el heeded him and did what Adonai had ordered Moshe.

Moses was a hundred and twenty years old(A) when he died, yet his eyes were not weak(B) nor his strength gone.(C) The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab(D) thirty days,(E) until the time of weeping and mourning(F) was over.

Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit[a] of wisdom(G) because Moses had laid his hands on him.(H) So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses.
